LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18, 2026. Art of Shock launches a new era with “You Are The Plague,” the first release through the band’s own AOMFS Records.
An explosion of alternative metal, “You Are The Plague” drives hard into the heavier, more extreme side of Art of Shock without leaving behind the huge melodic vocals and dynamics that have always been part of the band’s sound.
“You Are The Plague” really represents freedom for us. We came out of some very complicated times, got the band back together, and started our own label, AOMFS Records. For the first time in a long time, we’re completely in control of where this goes and how we get there. There’s something incredibly liberating about that. We can make the music we want to make, take chances, follow our instincts, and not worry about fitting into somebody else’s idea of what Art of Shock is supposed to be. This song is the beginning of that freedom, and I think you can hear it in the music.
Formed in Hollywood, Art of Shock cut their teeth on the Sunset Strip and beyond. The band released two albums through Century Media, Dark Angeles in 2020 and Shine Black Light in 2023. Over the years, Art of Shock has toured or shared stages with artists including Sepultura, Crowbar, Brujeria, Trivium, Sacred Reich, Hirax and Cavalera Conspiracy.
“You Are The Plague” is out now through AOMFS Records on all major streaming platforms. The official lyric video is also available now on YouTube. Heavy, melodic and unapologetically Art of Shock, the single marks the first release of the band’s independent era, with Art of Shock fully in control of its musical destiny.
